Children are encouraged to express their views, listen respectfully to others and understand that everyone's voice matters. Through pupil leadership opportunities, Mandeville Action Takers, class discussions and democratic voting, pupils experience democracy in meaningful and age-appropriate ways.
Children learn that rules, routines and expectations help everyone feel safe, respected and able to learn. Through our Behaviour Curriculum, restorative conversations and consistent expectations, pupils develop an understanding of responsibility, fairness and the consequences of their actions.
We encourage children to become confident individuals who make informed choices, develop independence and take increasing responsibility for their learning and behaviour. Within a safe and supportive environment, pupils are encouraged to develop their own interests, talents and aspirations.
