At Mandeville Primary School, we know that every family may need a little extra support from time to time. Seeking help early can often prevent small concerns from becoming bigger challenges, and there is a wide range of support available for children, young people and their families.
Families First is Hertfordshire's early help service. It brings together professionals from different organisations to provide advice, guidance and practical support tailored to the needs of each family. Support is available for all Hertfordshire families with children and young people under the age of 18 (or up to 25 for those with additional needs or disabilities).
Families First can offer support with a wide range of issues, including:
Parenting and family relationships
Emotional wellbeing and mental health
Physical health
Domestic abuse
School attendance and education
Financial difficulties and debt
Housing concerns
Drug and alcohol dependency
If you feel your family would benefit from additional support, please speak to a member of our pastoral or safeguarding team. We are always happy to listen and, where appropriate, help you access the right services. Alternatively, you can find further information and advice through the Families First website using the link below.
